Accepting minutes from last meeting
- Done
FS Update (Josh/5 min) - 14:31 UK
- Josh: demo for Jason of FS code. Performance was better than expected, another demo during developer meeting at end of month. Jason’s Wish list -> ticketed -> story. Tagged proper release for the demo. Once a week google hangout, video makes things nicer.
- Jean-Marie: 14:00 Friday hangout for FS. Do a test in the morning.
- Jason: good seeing FS running and performance from raw file system.
- Jean-Marie: Kenny VM hooked up for team by end of month, can discuss later
Glencoe Update - 14:39 UK
- Focus on FS (josh & melissa)
- beta.jcbdataviewer progress made. Feb 18th deadline
- Very large data acquisition site / viewer for clinical diagnostics. Blood test complex image looked at and diagnosis made.
- Interest from digital pathology in USA.
- Recruiting continues
Satellite Update - 14:44 UK
- Response needed for Wilma to book travel arrangements for satellite by end of this week
- Agenda will be in ome-docs folder soon, comments welcome
WND-CHRM demo (Simon Li) - 14:47 UK
- Notes
- musical interlude due to technical difficulties
- Simon presented his cat-classifier. Will is a cat!
-
Next few weeks:
- Moving towards visualizations (of features, etc)
- Storing feature vectors, weights (security issues)
- Usability of typing in the classifier name, etc.
- How to work with multiple-channels (rather than just concatenate them)
-
How to work with ROIs rather than Images (and global image information).
- Hierarchy within gigapixel image.
-
Longer / developer-focused
- Features/Search APIs to write your own algorithm?
- Registry (like for scripts) but focused on analysis
- Who is the API aimed at? How abstracted? (...cross-validation within OMERO?)
-
More UI stuff: minimize changes to Web in OMERO? (then use script dialog)
- Would be nice to have that more interactive
- Query for a list of classifiers and then select from that, or drop down of images, etc.
- Multi-stage script dialogs (post-failure, etc) similar to wizard, human-feedback.
-
Comments - 15:12 UK
- Jason: color issue is important. Ilya & Bob have both worked on this.
- API unification difficult with only 2 implementations, omero.searcher and wnd-charm
- Curtis to ask LOCI folks for data. (Ian as well)
- Will: dimensionality? Hack via a projection? Computer vision algorithms are typically 2D
- Jason to contact Ivan. Highlight differences and show at end of the month.
Any other business (<5 mins) 15:25 UK
