Accepting minutes from last meeting
- ACCEPTED
Matters Arising (<10 mins)
- No action items from last meeting
4.3.1 status
-
Web exception handling
- Josh: retrying things that it shouldn't
-
Carlos: most of exceptions are recoverable
- Taking that out will break a lot of the workflow
- If we can pinpoint the base exceptions,...
- Josh: we should only retry where we know it's retrable.
-
Chris: any retries in insight?
- Jean-Marie: ask before retry like reconnection
- Josh: shouldn't do this on stateful services
-
Carlos: should be able to try and have it work
- user may get logged out unintentionally
- Will: previously there was a 10 second wait
- Will: Handle it in 4.3.1? No.
-
Round table of TODOs.
-
Tickets:
- 55 bigs
- 6 critical, 1 blocker
-
Melissa
- Flex is highest priority

Andrew

- XML Parsing: Check the test.
-
Ola: 2 criticals, 21 total
- To everyone: please report which server (apache, etc) when reporting bugs
- Minor aren't blockers; came from previous testing.
- Jean-Marie: could we pass them to anyone else?
- Ola: sure.
- Scott: some of the minor ones could make a big difference for users
- Josh: then we need to re-prioritize
-
Colin:
- Odd transient bug
- Running tests, because replicating is different.
- Then push or close.
- Accidential double import isn't the worst.
- Will probably push.
- Then can take other tickets.
-
Chris: Big change made in XML parsing/validation
- Bug noticed by Jean-Marie re: physical size not being upgraded
- Change made to core infrastructure
- 2010-04 were not being updated
- Perhaps a good opportunity to take samples and do various checks.
- Start Monday.
-
Chris:
- Trying to kill hudson-related bugs/tasks
- Build numbers, client builds, hudson migration, ...
- Josh: forgot to mention backOff is no longer hard-coded
-
Jean-Marie:
- ImageJ and version checking
- Anywhere with 4.1 server? (testing rendering setting)
-
Scott:
- need to speak to Ola about both tickets.
- probably need more investigation
-
Will
- mostly web exception handling bugs
- also need some info about OMERO.editor from JMB
- Chris: any EMDB stuff?
-
No owner
- renderering is slow? Scott takes ownership
- delete
-
Josh: don't forget the reverse query
-
All non-bug tasks for 4.3.1
- Have to be careful not to leave them until the time of release
- Then they end up just being pushed like last time.
