Joining the OME team: Simon's presentation (45 mins)
- Group is perhaps at a critical mass where adding a few new users will make it difficult to know what's going on
-
Process: not exactly XP, etc. Having some kind of overview of how things work would be useful.
- Can figure it out by watching, but possibly could get people up to speed faster
- If it's worth it, then set up a true OSX app.
- Spotty documentation (e.g. Linux environment variables)
- developer tutorials would be good (similar to Java Tutorials perhaps)
-
scripting
- API should typically be everything
- don't know what I can't do (cF. Insight widgets)
- Jean-Marie: for many people how the objects are linked is critical
-
How to move forward
- Will sees what to add to SiteMap from Simon's points
- Start with scripting (angle of attack is important)
- Need to figure out Mac OSX deploy (Ice 3.3/3.4)
HIC Jobs - Closing date past, processing applications
- Andrew has hard-copies.
Any other business (<5 mins)
-
Jean-Marie: Anyone blocked with tickets?
- Chris: need Colin/Chris/Josh talks
-
Scott: send email to scientists for middle of May?
- Jean-Marie: they will forget about it, but it's ok to send it.
-
Jean-Marie: Anyone blocked with tickets?
