10 March 2006 - A collaboration with the Interaction Design Lab
'Usable Access for Open Microscopy Environments' is a UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council grant funding collaboration between the OME group and the Interaction Design Lab and School of Computing at the University of Dundee. The project will develop a new vision for the OME user experience. Funded for three years from June 2006, it will undertake an extensive multi-site detailed study of microscopy work practices, develop and iterate a series of OME interface prototypes, and specify a new user interface for the OME toolset. With a team of 4 investigators, 2 research assistants and 1 PhD student, the project aims to support a major evolution in the usability and engagement of OME.
