OMERO Beta4.3.2 Release

15 September 2011 - The OME project is pleased to announce the release of OMERO Beta4.3.2

Today, The OME Consortium (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/about/development-teams), is proud to release OMERO-Beta4.3.2.

This is a point release, focussing on fixes for OMERO.web, export, and documentation. A couple of LDAP fixes were also added, following requests from the community. Of course we couldn't help ourselves, so we slipped in something many of you have asked for some time-- OMERO on virtual machines.

Full details are available at

http://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/milestone/OMERO-Beta4.3.2

The software is available at http://www.openmicroscopy.org/

For those of you new to OMERO, see
http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero4/getting-started

The full list of features in OMERO, including new features in the OMERO Beta4.3.2, is at

http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/products/feature-list

Note that we'll be updating the movies on this site over the next week.

Our thanks to Alex's posts on the Forums (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/community/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=785) for pointing out a problem with exports. We've fixed this on the server, and will get a fix to insight in place as soon as possible.

The OME Team is now hard at work on our next release, provisionally titled OMERO Beta4.4. We are having many discussions on what we'll do for this release; very likely we'll be trying to deliver on the priorities expressed during the Paris OME User's Meeting in June

http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/community/minutes/meetings/june-2011-paris-users-meeting/meeting-notes

and also trying to clean-up many of the lingering issues we've had lying around:

Comments and ideas are welcome, on the Forums or on these lists.

In collaboration with Urban Liebel at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, we are providing demo accounts for OMERO. Use the Demo link at openmicroscopy.org to contact us if you are interested in this.

Our feedback system, OMERO.qa (http://qa.openmicroscopy.org.uk) is a facility users and developers can use to log comments and exceptions. OMERO.qa supports uploading of problematic data files, and tracking of responses to any user queries.

As always, thanks for your support.
