OMERO 4.4.2 Release

We have decided to release OMERO 4.4.2, due to the following specific issues:

• large file archiving, as reported by Alex Herbert
• minor security issue in the OMERO.imagej plugin, as reported by Rubén Muñoz
• web start failures on Java 1.5 and over HTTPS
• inability to view fields in HCS data through OMERO.web

This release fixes an important and very specific bug that prevented files larger than 2 GB from being archived correctly. If you do not archive files larger than 2 GB, you do not need to upgrade your clients nor your server. To address the OMERO.imagej plugin issue, it is only necessary to update the version of Bio-Formats that is installed in ImageJ.
