        • moving on to working on documentation, so schedule looks good for July release
        • Roger found a bug in C++, OME-Files release may be slightly after remainder
      2. Metadata (Josh)
        1. Ola to demo latest prototype
          • in web can organize data by gene, phenotype
          • requires querying for higher-level objects based on data down in map annotations
          • server API needs to better support pagination for queries
          • cleaning up duplicate map annotations (e.g., move up to plate or screen)
            • could also reduce joins in queries by also linking children's map annotations on containers
              • Chris: very many links
              • Chris: could push map annotations down to images
                • Ola: but need counters (popularity)
                • Chris: classic problem, need to query in both directions
          • Chris: has had to be processing map annotations and tagging on that basis due to query performance
            • is search system a viable solution? variety of queries
            • Ola: good idea but will still need pagination
          • Jean-Marie: adjusts main web application, may feed back into mainline
      3. 5.3.0 Scoping (Jean-Marie)
        1. last DB change in (projection in rendering def)
        2. new security role for import to be discussed before DB freeze
      4. Outreach (Colin)

          • presenting OMERO poster at astronomy conference
        2. Training days prep ongoing. To go over material Thursday-Friday
          • Cambridge workshop
          • user section has been run many times, but facility manager section is new so will require more work
            • welcome to join rehearsal and comment later this week
    2. Other releases/upgrades - 14:28 UK

      1. Figure
      2. ImageJ

      • continuing from last week
      • can announce work on JPEG-XR (Zeiss, CZI), sample files, etc. coming
        • Jean-Marie: social media coming?
        • Chris: soon, just now agreeing details with Zeiss
  3. AOB (5 mins max - technical discussions should be highlighted to relevant people and rescheduled) - 14:33 UK

    • Blog post. Any veto
      • Sebastien: many comments, keep on commenting today
      • Jean-Marie: no strong objections to the post though? If so, let us know today.
  4. Demo of proposed open-with/filtering/central panel evolution in OMERO.web by Will Moore. Presentation - 14:34 UK

    • Douglas: can cover for breaking API changes of the form of passing less data than before with handlers that query for the extra if necessary
    • Roger: could be good to return explanatory strings instead of simply "false" when actions are disabled
    • Douglas: for filtering, state management store can much improve performance after a while as data caches client-side
    • Chris: Will and Ola's querying work suggests to all come together, discuss search API, etc.
      • Simon: Lucene presentation would be welcome
      • Chris: Glencoe are writing search bridges
    • Simon: heatmap: could generalize to function from well to what to display in that grid cell
    • Roger: heatmap: nice to sort images by temperature for ordered review
    • Future of filtering-by-rating PR?
      • Jean-Marie: prefer to properly scope
        • Chris: don't want to add and then have to change
      • Chris: could be a center-pane plugin
      • Will: this is more an alignment with Insight
      • conclusion: move to plugin in separate repository to make deliverable without yet making it our standard offering

Done 15:38 UK
