Agenda - 2:30pm Start

  1. Accepting minutes from last meeting

  2. Project Timelines (2-3 minutes each)

    1. Spaces

      1. Model (Sebastien)
        • Mostly done with code-generation changes. Can move forward with C++
        • Side affect - export / import
        • Also a couple of API changes
        • In good shape for API/Model freeze in a month - pending C++ work
        • JM: Sebastien has cleaned up jenkins to remove 5.1 jobs
        • JM: Omoro-Install docker builds now available for 5.1 & 5.0 OMERO
        • Josh: We should document “which dockers to use?”
        • Petr: Rundeck UI fast for building docker images - builds remotely
      2. Metadata (Josh)
        • Data going in consistently on minke
        • Simon providing EBI with ansible setup
        • Eleanor: one Dataset left to finish
        • Josh: Discussing how much to include in POTN presentations
        • Don’t want to just show CLI commands
        • Josh: EBI server ready for testing soon - will need team to test
        • Josh: Some 5.1 -> 5.2 rebasing bugs
      3. 5.3.x Scoping
        • JM: most columns moving forward - assessing workload etc
        • Seb: UI updates for ROI model changes - discussion tomorrow am
      4. User meeting
        • All progressing well - prodding people to complete cards etc
        • @Scale presentations need more details
        • Colin: planning to do run-throughs early next week, and again on Monday before meeting.
        • Jason: Josh just e-mailed participants.
    2. Other releases/upgrades:

      1. Figure - testing with OMERO 5.0.x PR opened, testing with Docker
      2. ImageJ
        • Batch processing with ImageJ on E.g. Dataset in OMERO
        • Working on prototype to show at meeting
        • Jean-Marie: can showcase CLI-based examples of server-side IJ processing
      3. Learning
      4. Sysadmin
        • Jenkins upgrade last week caused problems - deleting stuff.
        • Now restored and cleaned up - nothing lost
        • Need better separation of QA, shares etc.
      5. Smuggler (Montpellier)
        • Going well, no bugs last week!
        • New feature requests
          • grouping of e-mail notifications
          • about a week of work - delay live deployment
          • Users expect a single e-mail for each ‘import’ of multiple images
        • Need client to re-connect to import to show progress (Josh: CLI does this)
        • Jason: can you present this at 2016 meeting
      6. Ian - will present UI tools for IJ
    3. Glencoe Update (Chris)

      • Chris in webinar now, well attended
      • Jason: video of webinar, showing CellProfiler on cluster etc.
      • Emil has Jupyter set up for Python functions
    4. OME2016 Update (Jason, Helen and Colin)

      1. Programme on Trello

        • Jason: just need to finalize and practice presentations
        • Workshops afternoon is quite IDR-heavy
        • Several people have asked “how did you do IDR”?
        • Apex night of day-1
        • Day-2 wine tasting @ CTIR - dinner @ Gallery48
      2. Day 3 Un-Conference

        • Jason: should we make this public yet?
        • users can add their ideas, then we can rationalise and cleanup
        • Sessions should not be long presentations: 10 mins intro then discussion etc.
        • 2 MRC delegates interested in career path for developers
        • No ‘outcome’ defined for sessions currently - up to each to choose
        • 3 sessions morning, 1 in afternoon?
        • Try to lock down sessions by night before
        • Simon: trello account is a barrier? Also have gdoc?
        • Jason: OK - 2 column table@@
      3. Day 4 Team meeting

        • Jason: Need to summarise what 5.3.0 is
        • Try to keep this short 9.30 - 11.30
        • Eleanor: Rishi’s for lunch?
      4. Wifi testing

        • Jason: guests registering on ‘cloud’ - may not be viable
  3. AOB (5 mins max - technical discussions should be highlighted to relevant people and rescheduled)

    1. Mark: What's current policy on Slack usage?
      • Jason: useful on the road. Need full discussion later. No vetoes.
    2. New Coffee machine
      • Jason: Let’s go with whip-around from users
