      2. 5.2.0 (Josh)
        • question of getting regions branch onto develop
        • probably need to get people working on breaking BF changes coordinating
          • probably chat in tomorrow’s BF standup
    3. Registry (Sebastien) - 14:35 UK

      • somewhat on backburner
      • would like to use ansible to populate box and deploy
    4. Glencoe Update (Emil) - 14:35 UK

      • focusing on looming PathViewer release
      • working on map annotations attached to ROIs
        • Jean-Marie: part of the marshaling work?
        • Emil: yes
        • Jean-Marie: anything to test yet?
        • Emil: still early days
    5. Repositories - 14:36 UK

      1. Virtual Microscope/teaching
        • Gus: nothing new, downtime will have to wait until next month
      2. IDR Project
        • Josh M: data going in, Jason has presentation coming, so try not to bring IDR down
    6. FLIMfit/OPT (Ian) - 14:37 UK

      • plenty of bug reports
      • progress on super-resolution
      • looked at Alan Race’s spectroscopy data, open-source MATLAB tool can read it, still to get the data into an array so it can be converted to OME-TIFF
    7. Other consortium timelines (5 minutes) - 14:39 UK

      • nothing
  3. Release, tagging, announcement policy - 14:39 UK

    • Sebastien B: issues are,
      • communicating milestones for OMERO.figure, etc., as we already do for Bio-Formats, OMERO
        • good to know when production-ready code is needed
        • do we know when OMERO.figure 1.2.0 is to be released? how to structure testing, etc.?
          • Will: was aiming for yesterday
          • Jean-Marie: should have a release template Trello board, even if few cards as yet
          • Will: already items listed on a release card
          • Jean-Marie: board would be useful for tracking features against releases
    • Wilma: it is possible Jason may be able to discuss on Friday, also away early next week
    • Petr: are we ever demoing features on tadpole that are not yet formally released?
      • relevant especially for important features already well-tested
      • Josh M: my concern was that the deployment was of merge build at last minute
        • Sebastien B: span up three RCs in four hours, suggesting quality of build was not sufficient
        • Sebastien B: even for “unreleased” features, still need time to put it through enough of the release process for confidence in the build
  4. R and OMERO (prototype) - presentation by Dominik - 14:53 UK

    • Roger: can you get the pixel data as a matrix?
      • Dominik: yes
    • Roger: put convenience functions into a namespace?
      • Dominik: would like to
    • Jean-Marie: people in SLS using R?
      • Graeme: yes, probably analysis of spreadsheets generated from other software, rather than analyzing raw images
    • Jean-Marie: Gateway board has an OMERO ↔ R card, comments welcome
    • Dominik: RStudio on the Mac expected old Java
      • Roger/Curtis: homebrew?
      • Graeme: that’s just R
      • Roger: still got interactivity and graphics output though
    • Dominik: would be interesting to integrate R with OMERO.tables
      • Roger: can also create data frames from PostgreSQL queries
      • Jean-Marie: would be good to know how to generate CSV, etc. such that it is most usable from R
    • Josh M: could see someone wanting to run scripts in EBI cluster against IDR data
      • would be great to get everybody laying their data out in a consistent way
  5. AOB (5 mins max - technical discussions should be highlighted to relevant people and rescheduled) - 15:18 UK

    • nothing

Done 15:18 UK
