-
focusing on 5.1.4 5.2.0 and model changes (5.3/6.0) at the same time
- Josh M: OMERO 5.1.4 looks to be on track
-
Josh M: OMERO 5.2 issues pending, Ice 3.6 on hold, ROIs a major theme
- ROIs are next major breaking model change, but fairly large
-
proposal: 5.2 has the jsTree, gateway, etc. changes; 5.3 has the ROI work
- further UI work to follow (including prep for coming changes)
-
Jean-Marie: ROI model changes are in two phases:
- resolving differences between OME-XML schema and OMERO database model (maybe mostly Mark C)
- larger ROI changes that keep those two in sync (maybe mostly David)
-
Jason: gateway work can mitigate breakingness of ROI changes?
- Jean-Marie: indeed
- Josh M: recent decoupling work set us up well for this
- Josh M: one change is that of dropping namespace in favor of annotations; another change is introducing “ROI folders”
- Will: need to make clear what is expected in which version
-
Jason: requires separate series of ROI meetings to decide details
- Jean-Marie: for larger ROI changes, various stakeholders in OME consortium
-
Jason: timeline implications for Ice 3.6?
- Roger: Python changes require it
- Chris: difficult to manage both pre-3.6 and post-3.6, needs work and thought
-
webstart status: deprecate in 5.1.4 remove in 5.2 due to browser support
- Spaces: metadata - largely on hold. Will attempt to have a new demo site available soon.
