- Java issue workaround/fix seems to work, but unexpectedly lost some days of development
- Bio-Formats 5.1.3 released
- OMERO m2 (permissions) testing probably tomorrow
- m3 early next week, hoping for RC1 later next week
- still to decide about 5.0

critical to properly handle OME security (act on vulnerabilities, distribute fixes, etc.), especially if expecting others to run OMERO at their institutions
- on Glencoe side been working on these issues, especially mindful of customers still on 5.0, further work over coming weeks
- need to be good at disseminating information after release that fixes vulnerability making it much clearer that there is a security issue

IDR Project - discussions last week about
- user interface - initial ideas about user entry points for exploring data

ontology annotations - annotating study information and phenotypes and how ontologies could be used in querying the IDR
- Jason: EBI services appear to be able to provide various necessary parts
- integration with the EBI's BioStudies database

if analysis of datasets could be done on the EBI's Embassy cloud
- Jason: initial indications look like it can be used, no obvious blockers yet
- Josh M: will take some months’ work yet before we deploy successfully within EBI
- Simon: looking at storing ontologies in OMERO’s PostgreSQL database before resorting to a separate graph database
