Agenda/Notes - 2:30pm Start
Accepting minutes from last meeting
- OK
Project Status (15 minutes max)
Mainline (5 minutes) Josh and Petr figuring out actions for M1 (should happen ASAP) Petr: C++ seems less a UI test, more docs; remains a question how to test Jason: Is C++ M1 demo-able? C++ artefacts and docs should suffice for a demo. Petr: Also more to M1 than just C++; scenarios almost ready. J-M: Demo during Josh/Melissa visit? Petr: probably end of week beginning 29th. Kenny off that week, so code signing have to be handed over or build happen earlier.
Breaking queue (5 minutes)
- Some confusion last week: --breaking doesn’t (yet) work
- Now runs at 17:30 at the moment; not ideal. Likely going to early in the morning.
Glencoe Update (5 minutes)
- JB still working on hibernate & ORM
- Emil & Stick now have cellprofiler working headless.
Consortium Update (5 minutes)
-
Ian: still grappling with SPW OME-TIFF; item for updating scenario with plate (currently in-progress)
- any float images for testing? easy enough to generate.
- will require the 5.1 build of flimfit.
-
Yuriy: we can hear him!
- collecting options for OME-TIFF creation
-
Seb B.: not much; EDI will have OMERO server deployed in WTC; interested in training? (priority center)
- J-m: not first 2 weeks of Oct.; Seb: more like the end of the year
- Zeb: not much; working on user workshops & training. Need material? Let Gus know.
- Douglas: Ola’s PR is merged; so first jsTree PR will be in the merge build tomorrow
-
Will/Figure: release before the end of the month. (1.0.0)
- rc1 is on web-tagging server. ready to start testing.
-
Ian: still grappling with SPW OME-TIFF; item for updating scenario with plate (currently in-progress)
AOB (5 mins max - technical discussions should be highlighted to relevant people and rescheduled)
Suggestion from Josh: Switching standup notes to Trello?
- Blazej: Clear process required to avoid confusion.
- Seb: might look similar to release board interaction.
- Roger: Archived cards might influence the trello search results.
- Blazej: should start using “closed” threads on the forum
- Requirements: during setup, during standup, after vacation (historical), from mobile
Old downloads pages coming up on google searches before current
- people didn't like redirecting to the directory, so do we redirect to latest or leave as is?
- Maybe ideal solution is a new landing page for the directory but this would require scoping etc.
- Labelling old pages is a BIG job.
- don’t know if / think people will look at version in URLs
- Ola/Douglas: follow django model
- Seb: would follow Python2/Python3 pattern.
- Petr: landing page is good if nice
- Balaji: python/django are for devs; not our users
- Seb: but if an institute hasn’t upgraded, shouldn’t go to latest. Depends on sysadmin communication.
- Andrew: only “google” referers will trigger
- Roger: should we even have users going to our website (landing page); instead link from OMERO.web (no login)
- Ola: can do it if I’m given a link.
- Petr: that won’t fix the google issue
- Andrew: different landing page for OMERO4, etc.
- J-m: going forward with workshops; Emil up next (keep things shorter esp. AOB)
