Housekeeping Pre-Meeting - 2pm Start

    • Jean-Marie: look into QAs done
    • Josh: answer https://www.openmicroscopy.org/community/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=919 done
    • Josh: forward Columbus issues. done
    • Josh: merge-blue with Ice & Insight builds & insight as IJ plugin. Hand-off to Chris and homebrewers. done
    • Josh: get 64bit 10.5 stats. (Windows users?) done
    • Josh: Add PR/screenshot discussion to next week’s agenda done
    • Colin: create tickets from movie talk (“Summary to be turned into tickets”) done
    • Josh: start defining short-/med- term monitoring of servers tabled

      • Screenshots (Jean-Marie) Josh: Waiting for JM to be back
      • # of Bugs: 141 (Monday), 139 (Tues)
        • Josh: Suggested having a bug branch.
        • Josh: hard ones are left
        • Emma: might be worth it temporarily for 1 sprint
        • See 7322 and 7324
          • Scott: set up to manage usability backlog, wrt sprints, using it for insight and web as a placeholder for documenting usability backlog in each sprint. So we dont have to go through all the backlog. (Sprint 4, next)
        • Also sprint 6
        • NB (Chris): priority almost means nothing.
        • Josh: Analyse the bugs and see what can be done
        • Chris: some of the web ones are no longer relevant
        • Jason: take time before sprint 6 and make the list

      • #28: Fix issue with sql upgrade script.
        • Josh: Cheerypicked carlos’s commit.
      • #31: Ice 3.3 AND 3.4 support.
        • Need to find a good way to test this.
        • Someone use it in anger in all of their work (Ice realted)
        • Once happy then merge and all use it
        • Will: needs guidance on how to merge stuff and also work and also push to current branch.
        • Chris: Merge branch do your work and own stuff, then checkout and merge in to another branch
        • Josh: rebase on top of Ice work, not ideal.
        • Chris: w.r.t. web front, can checkout and build. Due to the way you can work with the web.
        • Will: Didn’t work before, can try but not trivial
        • Chris: Merge blue does not have the Ice stuff, problem with something JM did.
          • Must support both Ice 3.3 & 3.4
      • #35: Sprint4 bugs: Admin and CLI issues
        • Josh: similar issue for testing, don’t want it left behind.
        • Jason: tricky week, hold for for now.

    • Josh: When back from ASCB we can look at merging branches.
    • Josh: pushing all tickets forward.
  3. Future presentation scheduling 2011 & 2012 (10 mins)

    • Emma: Bit empty at the moment, any ideas? 1 date in December and then in the new year.
    • Will: at some point we will need to review the recent changes.
    • Chris: templates work might be an option after merge and some documentation prepared.
    • Josh: Strategy for hiring! Dec 13th.
      • 6 apps for support
      • 3 for dev
      • on alfresco
    • Jason: Interview process won’t scale. Needs to be across all applicants.
    • Emma: identify dates.
    • Scott: identify roles for usability people. some definition.
    • Chris: web in January (templates/plugins/how it applies to HIC/CMU/etc.)
      • Jan. 10th. (tentatively)
    • Curtis: Hackathon as an option for presentation

      • test_images_scenarios
    • Actions for a bigger clean up?
    • Scott: Following on from melissa, clean up some of the test data and get to grips with that so the folder is listed there that thed liek to remove. Leave us with test/good/meta/bad
      • Chris: J-M has typically been the one to make those folders.
      • Scott: Anything on squig that I can look at?
      • Chris: What do we want to do with the repository? Used to be synched with Curtis at LOCI.
      • ONLY 12 MB available
      • Josh: reduce number of directories, unique and simple organisation. Duplicates of images? is that what you meant??, script?
      • Chris: in New Year, we need to define what squig is. Size of dev.loci?
      • Curtis: 2TB, half full due to backup data.
