      • GRE SYMPOSIUM: Scott Littlewood, Andrew, Jason, Emma, Scott, Will sign up for GRE Symposium (November).
      • OME Satellite Meeting - All Dundee + Colin?, Josh?, Carlos?, Melissa?
        • 8-9 Nov.
        • Colin, Josh, Carlos and Melissa will be in Dundee for that meeting. Arrive on Monday, flight out on Friday.
        • Invite collaborators.
        • Will: What is the main aim of this meeting?
      • Jason: all the above. For example, listening to talks in Paris (Icy, CMU, Sardinia)
      • Not a 2 day tutorial session: “what is OMERO API about?”. It will be more advance.
      • Partly an introduction; full day of development
      • Josh: How are we going to work together, all details about they various ways of collaboration, chatting, meetings, etc.
      • Jean-Marie: Icy? Definitely.
      • Jason & Emma to send out invitations.

    • ASCB Denver - December - Dundee[Chris and Colin], Madison[Kevin]

      • Colin volunteered to go with Chris. Kevin as well.
        • Melissa: no, going to hackathon. (Probably the same for Curtis)
      • Hackathon, Dresden - December J-M, Josh?
        • Josh, Melissa and Curtis and Johannes.
        • Melissa: will be there for entire week.
      • EBI : 5-6 Dec (Cambridge)
        • EM related. About EM data and management.
      • There are two ImageJ in Leicester and London. Scott is checking that.
      • ISMB: Like Bioinformatics meeting. More of a informatics community. (Jason has email) July 12, 2012
      • Vizbi: Heildelberg in April. (6-8 March 2012)
      • HCA in San Francisco. We might potentially mist it.
      • Neuroscience (Nov) and ASCB (Dec) in 2012.

    • HIC (incl. presentation as a satellite example)

      • J-M: There is a hope for presentation update about HIC
      • Josh: We could possibly do that presentation like a sample presentation for the satellites what would be expected in the future. Structured as an example.

    • Satellite mtg. Preparation.

      • Emma: emails sent today. Will send to the new emails.
      • Want to ask before hand what everyone’s priorities are?

    • Documentation (Will)

      • Continuation what was done with trac site. Main site needs work, too, though

      • General aims: remove stuff out of date, make sure that anything worthwhile can be found.

      • i.e. Logical hierarchy of some sort, with sensible navigation, and place for new pages is clear.

      • Have previously gone through every page and decide if we want to keep it.

      • This time there are a few pages marked as candidate for delete.

      • See ticket 7021 (candidates for delete)

      • Next major tasks are: which pages could be improved, merged together, add Parent (umbrella) with links underneath.

      • Jean-Marie: come with pre-defined buckets and propose it to the group next week.

      • Jason: looking for a major decision on how to take the next step?

      • J-M: we might have a meeting next week to decide about next steps.

      • We could ask authors about cleaning particular pages.

      • J-M: Next summary next week.

      • Jason: Is this content audience directed? Ideally if this would be done before developers meeting, but might not be possible. Shall we ask external or new people about looking what is/isn’t helpful there? Feedback might be very valuable.

      • Emma: think about what information you want to have and start from scratch.

      • Will: There were couple of pages created from scratch

      • Emma: We could come from the top and rebuild it from scratch. Lot of circular links.

        • Emma: If you are a user is not clear where I am/ come from/ to go next.

      • Josh:

        • if we decide to do it do it with appropriate tool.
        • Andrew: We kind of stack with the trac version because of Agilo. Might have sense host the content from the different system (?)

      • Jason: is there anything that we will miss from the deletions? No.

        • Josh: I disagree. If we could find the way of hiding trac pages (turn off), deleting - completely looking those information might not be the best solution.
        • Some of them are only visible through the site index. This is kind of hiding.
        • Andrew: wiki text links needs to be regenerated.
        • NB: Also the issue of renaming pages.

      • Jason: “bins” are done an exposed? No. Currently debating.

        • Timescale?
        • Currently: OMERO (most), BioFormats (5), Model (no pages)
          • We could reorganize it by changing the link to the top page.
          • Jason: going down the hierarchy are those pages organized in groups, etc? Yes
        • J-M: defining templates, policies, etc. for pages to keep them consistence.

      • J-M: we will come up with more feedback next week.

  7. 4.4/sprint 1 planning

    • 4.4.0: cleanup and breaking changes (suggestions?)

      • Josh: general aim is cleaning.
        • closing bugs we couldn’t accomplish in 4.3
        • documentation if possible
        • anything we want to shut off?

    • 1 week cleanup tasks (round table)

      • there are already tickets for cleaning up assigned in current sprint.

    • Scott will take a few insight/web UI tickets

      • Josh: is everyone clear how to get in there?
        • Scott: my issues are longer terms - in terms of documentations, etc.
      • Ola: need to have build of our branches to have things integrated. Need workflow how to deploy features on server against multi branches (especially when server should present few prototypes/features and couple of developers wants to pull from various branches).
      • Josh: lets do a week of bugs hammering. Please put your current tasks/bugs you are working on this week in the sprint.
      • Sprint ends next Thursday (27/10/11)
      • There will be shorter sprint before Dev meetings.

    • Caterina’s are about write permission issue. this need to be investigated. Josh turns it to BUG.

    • Melissa: Big NDPI is a big image file and needs to allocate a lots of memory. There are many tickets for that format
