Scott: Plan for training day package (Imperial 3-4th Oct) (45 mins)
- Looking for feedback for the training in October from the team
- Hopefully we can set up some training material for future training events
- JMB: Did we send out the questionaire? Scott: Not yet, decided with Jason to hold off for some changes
- Scott: From my perspective, release documentation is key. If its up to date, makes things much easier
  - Finding requirements then with institution should follow from that
  - Getting required materials and swank
  - Getting feedback from the team
- Scott: Got confirmation from Jerome to use his wiki as a template for our training docs
- JMB: no structural way to take notes (bugs/features on wiki pages)
  - May not be wise to immediately put everything in tickets
  - Martin (Imperial) sends spreadsheets.
- Important for us to have strutured notes from these meetings so we can use them in the future
  - Scott: Been thinking of this (more on this later in the meeting)
- Josh: I do have some questions about where the wiki lives + versioning it
  - Idea here is that we can version for each release
  - Do we move it to a media wiki or in track?
    - Scott: Still need to determine this
  - First Day: Overview for scientists
  - Second Day: Covers issues for developers and admins
    - Need feeback from the team on this
- JMB: might be a need to cover the pitfalls that many will have had
  - Elwood: dev/users/sysadmins.
  - Tailoring per role will improve level of knowledge that we gain per role
  - JMB: for Devs, issue is often how to load data (to work with the model)
- JMB: are you planning on attaching all tickets in one story?
  - i.e. trying to get metrics of "x tickets found; y fixed"
  - Scott: interested to know differences between institutions
    - leads to replication of issues
    - Josh: If might have been better to have a different tool for this other then trac
      - At some point we might need to look at other tools for this
      - If necesary, just keep everything in spreadsheets
      - JMB: can start with Martin's xls as an example
      - JMB: After we collect data from the training session, this should be passed back to the attendies
  - Ola: why not use keywords in trac?
    - JMB: we should, yes.
- Scott: we need to close the loop
  - If users come back, we should be able to show them how their feedback was taken into account
