2011-08-02 Tuesday Meeting

  2. Welcome Scott Littlewood

  3. Matters Arising (<10 mins)

    • Will: Create a ticket about how to adjust memory useage on the clients

    • Chris: imaris email

    • Josh: send email about Paris list TABLED

    • Andrew; update milestone page with validation/model tasks

    • Will: make scenarios for web scripts

    • Josh: ticket dev documentation DONE see 6380

    • Melissa: update milestone page for BF

    • Josh: update milestone page. DONE see roadmap

    • Chris: create story for fast setId and add to milestone page

    • Andrew: add FS and web report back. Done

    • Chris: add stories for web exceptions

    • Andrew: report on embedded queries and keywords. Done sample-page with included report

  4. Updates to FAQ-- best practice on using OME-XML (Jason, at 14:53)

    • Difficult to find concrete explanation of what an external developer should do to get started using OME-XML
    • "I'm making my own file-format, and I want to use components of OME-XML, how do I do that properly and reference the OME copyright?"
    • Andrew: haven't been asked that before
    • Jason: need that and need it quickly
    • i.e. prevent people from copying elements from our specification
    • Curtis: no proper way to do that. Blurb to dissuade
    • "Please write the mailing list if you feel like you need to copy-n-paste"
    • Curtis: minor update to all schemas with more clear copyright statement (possibly creative common license)
