2011-05-12 Thursday Meeting

Agenda

  1. Accepting minutes from last meeting

  2. Matters Arising (<10 mins)

    • Andrew: move apache ticket out of the sprint (and related tickets)

    • Brian: make a ticket for rABCD manual fixes (ignoring WorkPlan) diff once done and sent to nitpick

    • Andrew: set up autogenerated ome-xml and get Chris to set up Cron on necromancer

    • Will: Need to arrange testing of web mobile and (wording for release? Are we releasing?)

    • Andrew: Check progress of e-science

    • Scott: add Windows provisioning/testing tickets (Done in test scenario user story )

    • Scott: add developer testing stories: "go to scripting page, and do X, ..." (In Progress)

    • Scott: People will do anything for a free OMERO t-shirt - first external tester confirmed

    • Branching tendency
      • Everyone can create their own branch for anything that's post 4.3.0
      • Let's stay on develop, and the RC tags can get merged into master.
      • Every Thursday we do a RC release.
      • Display of FLIM result. Should be on a branch that we can rebase.
        • Reverting?
        • Not easy.
    • Tickets by sprint
      • Sprint: 2011-05-19 (12) (64 matches)
      • Sprint: 2011-06-02 (13) (17 matches)
      • Sprint: 2011-06-16 (14) (1 match)
      • Sprint: None (139 matches) 50 of these are probably testing.
    • Jason:
      • Possible to do a visual scan
      • You get the impression that it's not as bad
      • Worth thinking about a way to clean up
      • Jean-Marie: part of the problem is where to put usability & website
        • Chris: don't have a good place to put these things
      • Another way: of the things in the backlog, which are the development tickets which won't prevent the code freeze?

        • Jean-Marie: OMEROGateway isn't ready; server Gateway is out of date
        • Donald: OMEROGateway from Insight could be pulled out.
        • Will: lazy loading...
        • Jason: we don't have what the person is looking for
          • but work on OmeroPy API represents template/concept of what we're trying to achieve
          • helpful to write and ask "is that what you want?"
          • without roadmapping it.
      • Anatol/Cambridge & ROI/Matlab
        • "When are we planning on integrating it?"
        • Model will have been out since September
        • Had some suggestions.
        • Do we have a 4.3 schema release? Enough changes?
        • Andrew: thought we were releasing in-step.
        • Jean-Marie: need to look how we can evolve ROI model
        • Extensive 3D model by the end of the year? Tough...
        • Collecting information?
        • Jason: we are getting feedback; invite him to Paris?
        • Had a lot of work to start working with the model.
