Notes
Accepting minutes from last meeting
- Accepted
Matters Arising (<10 mins)
-
Andrew: Add ticket and/or close ome-xml.org - See #5157
- TICKETED
-
Melissa: Add ticket and/or create bioformats landing page (auto-generated content, etc)
- PENDING
-
Andrew: figure out how to filter other ome.org.* domains from google - See #5155
- Way to do this is to get the redirects going, need to alter apache config
- Waiting to do this (needs testing before we do it)
- Pushed out till after 4.3 (needs domain name changes, etc)
-
Brian: figure out how many revision counts outside of WorkPlan
- Can be done by hand - ticketed
- JMB: We should also remove the deprecated pages from the wiki
- JMB: Most WorkPlan should go - maybe some can stay
-
Brian: Convert all ome.git links to source links
- Related to above (action itemed below)
-
Andrew: find different method to expose autogenerated ome-xml docs on web
- Andrew: Only way to do this is to check code out, rsync to new location for exposing to web
-
Josh: There is a way to git command an export tar archive. So you don't need entire code base
- Andrew: OK, Would still need to copy to new location, Needs to be done by cron on necromancer
- Chris will
-
Brian: email Carne about OMERO.importer log file (let him know not currently configurable)
- Done
-
Brian: email Shawn (QA) about recurring issue
- Done
-
Andrew: Add ticket and/or close ome-xml.org - See #5157
Web Mobile - Release and Testing (10 mins)
- Right now can browse tree. Seems to work ok but if we want for 4.3, needs testing
-
JMB: Needs a testing script?
- Ola: Needs testing of big images
- Will: Viewer only works with iphone right now
-
JMB: Is it worth it right now?
- Will: wonder if we should just turn off viewer for non-iPhones. Everything else is compatible and useful
- Seems a shame to not let people know about it
- Chris: Hasn't really been tested in front of users and should be
-
Ola: Could we 'rebrand/pair down' this to just a data browser and release that? As a compromise?
- Team says thats reasonable and a possibility
UK e-Science All Hands Meeting 2011 - abstract due in 2 weeks (5 mins)
- Scott has emailed Jason about feedback on abstract
- Plan is to make a common paper with Jason, Jerome, Mark, Scott
Sprint Progress (30 mins)
Discussion
-
Chris (Big Images):
- One outstanding ticket with oblong images, working on it now
- Colin + Chris doing min/max should be done soon (#5098)
-
JMB: What do we want to do with the large pool of outstanding tickets?
- Add to 4.4 instead of 4.4? Wait till after Paris?
- Chris: Don't think we have much choice. Have to have 4.4 set before Paris
- Chris: Feeling is that there are a few things in outstanding that could go into 4.4 but they are poorly outlined
- Josh: We're just going to have to bite the bullet and find a way to manage unscheduled
- Chris: sNeed to clean up component and ticket milestone menus - things in there that are never used
- Scott: Testing - Question from Imperial is it possible to make a public server available?
- Scott: Mark/Imperial want a testing server (with new features demo'd)
- Chris: we can always point them at gretzky and make them a few accounts
- Josh: We may want to have one of our internal test servers be windows as well (virtual machine)
-
Scott: Time frame for this?
- Chris: Don't know yet. Comes down to deployment issues. Non-trivial.
- JMB: Need tickets for creating virtual machine, installing, etc. Should have a testing script for this.
-
Chris (Big Images):
Scott: Additional test scenario up big image upgrade test.
- (This is largely covered in the above)
- Scott: Added a test scenario, sent Simon a preview of the docs for his feedback
-
Will: Alot of my documentation changes need stories / testing scenarios
- Folks should be able to go to our documentation and find working examples and samples
Code Freeze on Thursday. Everyone ready?
-
Josh: Two big things outstanding - retry exception handling AND sha1
- May need to set up a mini group tomorrow morning with Ola/Will
- Carlos: Should be ready
-
Scott: Ready to send out testing tickets - folks will need to add their time estimates
- Chris: Until we upgrade nightshade we should hold off on external testers
-
Josh: Two big things outstanding - retry exception handling AND sha1
Any other business (<5 mins) - None
