Tiling/Big-Images

Chris: Basic strategy for big-images is to tile in power of two's
- Not sure we will take the pyramid all the way to the lowest level

Not sure how to handle images which don't divide by two just yet
- One option is to use an overlap
- Other option is to fill with blank data (probably what we will do)

Jean-Marie: Have to work out how to do min/max on tiles
- Block is fine, tiling is ok as well
- Chris: Regardless now on which file you import, it will be tiled on the server now
- Chris: Server will tell you that you have to wait for image to be processed on the server

Will: OK, so you keep the original file and also do the pyramid
- Chris: Can decide later if we want to keep the original once its processed
- Chris: Processed image is now jp2000 losslees, about 4 times smaller then 'raw'
- JPX not supported (with our library) so can't put multiple images in one file

Chris: Hudson users will be affected by the new change in infrastructure next week
- Will need to shut down mage / other servers when moving fiber channel
- Virtual machine infrastructure will probably be a month out
- Andrew: Will we loose existing VMs? Chris: Likely, some might be moved over though
