Matters arising
- 900 Git training on Thursday

Everyone: Go through the bug backlog (see report generated by Josh)
- https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/omero/query?status=assigned&status=new&status=reopened&milestone=OMERO-Beta4.3&type=task&summary=^bug&col=id&col=summary&col=priority&col=component&col=time&col=remaining_time&order=time
- 36 in 4.3 that start with "bug"
- Policy was that bugs should become priority before we accumulate too many.
- If it's difficult, can be put on hold.
- Chris: Perhaps dedicate Fridays to getting them down?
- Chris: Add Scott to omero-team email (DONE)
-
Donald: Get Big images work done (for Carlos?)
- Jean-Marie & Donald are branching for big images.
- Trying out "git flow feature publish"
- Josh: send PM from forums to nitpick. (DONE)
-
Organize conference call during ImageJ hackathon. Invite Adam?
- Curtis: Albert, Johannes, Adam
- 2-3 even 1 day is ok.
-
Chris: backup DB and upgrade nightshade (DONE)
- Users are playing with ROI.
-

- Ok after a restart.
- Everyone: After meeting, evaluate your tickets in sprint (DONE)
- Carlos: Get together with Will for Selenium tests (DONE)
Scott's presentation on Insight and Web (45 mins)
- Quick updates with status of Web work from the last few weeks
- Looking for info back from the team in certain areas
- Expectations from browsing data, metadata, viewing images in insight v. web
-
Range of consistency issues
- Export, ROI, Scripting, ...
- Collaboration work with external projects influencing decisions
-
Chris: we don't have a long list of things we want to make the same, right?
- Scott: have a couple of pages. But not as tickets.
- Donald: are they tentative changes?
- We've had the conversation a lot.
- Should we have a deadline?
- Chris: To understand where we are, we need that info somewhere (tickets)
- Donald: start with Scott's screenshot.
- Chris: we (also) need documented what we're NOT going to make the same.
- Jean-Marie: different icons on feature-list and in each client.
-
Will: first thing, don't add any functionality, just re-arrange (same place)
- then you can see what's there, and what's not (without looking somewhere different)
- Donald: this is more of a mini-group topic.
-
Chris: Scott needs to be careful when going back to the scientists
- We've been to them several times with "icon placement", etc.
- We should have the information somewhere.
- Donald: the result of those discussions is more or less the Insight UI.
- Scott: should be taking things back to them more towards the end.
-
Comments / questions?
-
Jean-Marie: what is the time-frame?
- End of next-iteration we do a review?
- (Scott away for a week and 2 days)
- Review at end of iteration 5
- Chris: Exhaustive list within 4 weeks
- Jean-Marie: then we can keep reviewing.
- Jean-Marie: if Scott sees icons that need to be changed in Insight, then make ticket.
- Jean-Marie: then we can have the conversations about publication, etc.
- Jean-Marie: we'll need to also have our documentation synchronized as well.
-
Jean-Marie: what is the time-frame?
Any other business (<5 mins)
-
Curtis: Transitioning Bio-Formats to Git after the meeting?
- Will start doing it now.
- Next will be disabling commits.
- Any problems? No.
-
Crieff (late March)
- Chris not going.
- Scott: do we need to do a poster? Yes.
- Jean-Marie: what do we want to get out of it? Has it been beneficial?
- Chris: got some good contact with Ron's lab last year.
- But many of those contacts have been made.
- Jean-Marie: perhaps an OMERO day is better.
- Jean-Marie: perhaps not useful until we have more integrated analysis tools
- Chris: not a lot of advance from their perspective.
-
