      • Jean-Marie: don't think it's the top
      • Jason: devs and users have different ways of communicating version info
      • Need to find what's the single conservative way to converse? Twitter?
      • A webstart page as authoritative place to get the clients?
      • Needs to be a single authorititative statement of what's authoritative

    • Will: Find out which formats are involved with OME-TIFF color problems (DONE)

      • Chris: Won't be able to support exporting old schemas
      • Andrew: Might tie in with the lite version of 'export for display'
      • Curtis(pre-mtg): use XSLT to reverse versions
        • Possibly a subset only (compatibility-mode for some X types)
        • What schema does he have?
      • Jason: perhaps need to engage vendors
        • Some idea of the reverse stylesheeting will work
    • Ola: Find out about Django localhost error and reply to email (RESPONDED)
  3. Updates

    • Public data
      • TinyURL: Followup on Public data meeting at Dundee
        • Josh: Would be nice to pass around links for public groups (using a 'special public user')
          • Chris: So any collaborative group with the user public would be pubically accessible
          • Chris: Then do the 'change group' fix so this becomes more flexible
            • Chris: Going to try this at Harvard and see how it goes - in before Xmas
        • Josh: This would leave out google-ability, but can be worked in later
      • Josh: Also working on spreadsheet for other public data requirements
      • KISS and then get feedback, go from there
      • Scott: Any benefit to the scientist here?
        • Chris: going to be in trunk, we can test here after if we want
    • Web merge
      • Ola: Working on unit tests for webadmin, mostly done
      • Will: Working on documentation, need to get Ola's code. Web/Python gateway done
        • Will: Need a discussion about naming conventions to really go much further
      • Jean-Marie: need to unify method names in all these different languages/APIs

    • Had a good chance to meet a lot of the opensource guys (Cellprofiler, micromanager, etc.)
    • Lots of screening data seen
    • Peter Soger talked about xml/hds pairing for storing data (SD Cubes)
    • some talk of SCS data solutions
    • Conclusion: going to need some other vessel for storing these files (HDF5?)
      • Must include thumbnails at the desktop level
    • Next think to do is talk about implementations that might work
    • Jean-Marie: Re: Cellprofiler, what is our collaboration plan?
      • Jason: They seem to be stable now, some talk of integration
    • Kevin mentioned an imageJ hackathon at Madison in January, anyone interested?

        • Jean-Marie: Lets hold off on this till after ASCB
        • Scott: I will let Victoria/Michael know it will be done later + investigate
        • Jason: maybe should happen as a proper story inventigation, careful planning
