Paris Users Meeting
-
Discussion of how many users
- There were people who didn't
-
DataIn/Out/Dupe
- (speed is not an issue)
- Various types of data; anticipating the data model; FLIM, EM, ...
- Making data upload easier on error with linked exception
- Failover to minimum import (compatibility mode). Can't fail silently!
- Re-import
-
Testing set that is definitive
- VITAL.
- If it doesn't work, everything stops!
- No more regressions.
- Also have to check the metadata in the database. (DICOM range, etc.)
- Extend strategy of testing.
- Carefully review the exceptions raised!
- 4.0.y client that provides the upload feature??
- Mini-group meeting on Monday 3 BST (email anouncement) * Focusing on one topic. * Clinical procedures. * Output should be a schedule.
-
Modalities (FLIM & Imperial, etc.)
- First question: Which types?
- EM is a 3 years project
- Visiting at Imperial? Jason will contact Paul re: Andrew
- Investigation will be done in parallel to the other work.
-
OME-TIFF
- Fix OME-TIFF validation
- BF Retrieve in Bio-formats for reading from OMERO
- Supporting exporting datasets? Annotations?
- Also need consistent experimenter, etc. in the exports.
- Detecting that it was exported from the system? Yes. LSIDs.
- Having export included in the import testing framework!
-
Duplication
- Target everything else for end of June?
- Depends on the numbers from the meeting Monday
- Need to start quickly. (Beta testing July 15)
- Possibly running as a separate group.
- Discuss on Tuesday/Wednesday the initial deliverables & split work
-
The leftovers
- OpenGL: adding to trunk and documenting the native library * Happy for the moment with the features. Just a deployment issue.
- ROI: working in a minimal state * Turning it on to play with * And for the next release, we can do it full stack. * Perhaps a week spent on it if need be. * Anticipating changes needed in RE, RDefs, ... * Modifying thumbnails as if in viewer * Also needed for screens
- NSIS installer: 60 ~ 80% done * No pressing need to get it done. * Andrew has worked on them before. * Virtual machine infrastructure is in place for testing. * Can't over commit everyone. * For 4.1 would be really nice!
- website updates: * Plone needs to be installed again. * Needs to be migrated, and have test site changes applied * Menus, etc. all fine. Search box relies on theme. * Theme stuff is icky. * ProSilverSpecialEdition phpBB theme is nice. * 250$ for a theme? Chris contacts him.
-
trac meeting changes
- After meetings beginning of next week
- Roll back database version
-
Need to notify via other means
- not everyone is on mailing list. Should they be?
- Using the blog? The forum? Yes.
- (adding Michael's scripts as test files)
-
Reviewing all the existing tickets?
- Do it together. Goes fast.
-
Discussion of how many users
will & protocol in DB
- searching & querying via forms
- anticipating upcoming work (~6 months)
- is a follow up needed?
- What's the solution to an ill-defined ontology? Editor.
- Heading to Paris?
- Querying is a part of data-in & data-out
