No agenda. Getting ready for release

Notes

  • JeanMarie/Insight
    • Trying to finish things up. Lots of testing help from Chris and Will.
    • Business logic for tags is client side. Only focusing on images, which will be a bit limit.
    • Build tonight. Feedback is much appreciated.
    • Q: Refresh issues all addressed? Removing issues from Dataset didn't update the tree.
      • Still some synchronizations that aren't in place. Blindly refreshing doesn't work when you have 15,000 images. Have to be a bit smarter.
    • Added namespace to rating annotation
    • Q: Searching work-in-progress? (Will)
      • Some of the queries are not natural to do.
      • Won't be ideal because business logic is client-side. Tricky for usability.
      • Tag search doesn't seem to work
        • Issue with the search service.

  • Server/ Chris & a silent Josh
    • Pretty solid. Resolved thumbnail synch and caching issues, plus ways for rendering settings to be reset in blocks.
    • All of fixes in place for the deadlock. Mage running solid for +week.
    • Possibly still massing many, many, many images.
    • Packing up on Mondaz
    • Changes in OmeroShell, testing on as many platforms as possible. Centos4 and Mac are fine. Centos5 and Ubuntu need work.
    • Documentation front for blitz server (Donald). So much has changed since March/April, much will need to be re-written.
      • Vanilla install is straight-forward, but large number of odd problems. (too many connections)
      • Need a week or so to get things ironed out. What's the base number of connections, etc?
      • Michael
        • Deleted everything. Postgres, Omero, OME-Perl. Didn't work.
        • Postgres runs fine. But getting too many connections.
        • Donald will post some tickets. A lot has been deleted.
        • Need to track down what happened if possible. Don't want this to happen in the wild.
        • Donald talks to Michael, Chris can shell in. Josh tries to reconfigure c3p0.

  • Brian/Importer
    • OME-XML mostly done. A couple of functions are missing. Image linking on Monday
    • New login is ready.
    • Update script, session script are all done.

  • Will/Editor
    • No more large changes. Small fixes.
    • Nothing major.
    • Movie is available.

  • Andrew / Website
    • Q: Still helpful for us to check the pages?
      • Largely the site should be there by the end of the day.
      • Missing links to sample OME-XML and OME-TIFF files
      • Paula is providing screenshots of OME server
      • Please send email if you are going to re-arrange pages.
        • Plone pages update themselves automatically, but not the html OME pages.
      • Haven't updated all the name/abbreviations since it may require patching plone.

  • HCS format
    • Jean-Marie is planning on getting started once Beta3 is out.
    • Status from Melissa & Brian?
      • Hasn't been integrated with importer
      • Flex is currentlz the only format. INCELL 1000 is coming. And then of course more after that.

  • Donald / Beta3
    • Only releasing matlab interfaces
    • Seems to do everything it should do: data, metadata, rendering, etc.
    • Writing documentation. Hoping to be done today. Probably next week.
    • Need to do some testing with Michael.
      • Moving from old workflow (screening->matlab on raw files) to working with OMERO

  • Ola
    • Updated login module to support LDAP plugin
    • Recording movie. @Let Ola know who's finished with the movie so she can start generating.

  • Colin / OmeroFS
    • Since last week, the interface has been updated.
    • Added methods for directory listings, stat, etc.
    • Looking at py-inotify for Linux version. Need fix for glibc
    • Now opening files, and therefore adding exception handling.
    • Chris: possibly an instance on mage and let people play with the API
    • Colin in Scotland from next Wed. to the Wed. after that.
    • @Colin possibly writes up something for the new website.
