Notes

  • Made an ad-hoc agend
  • Harry questions the ant/mvn tag-team build system. Josh says it's just a by-product and will go away. (Update: it did go away. See the latest check-in)
  • Chris says that Donald, Curtis and he will have a Glyph? usage discussion. This relates to the Roi5D and various other fun things. How to save them in the DB, etc? That'll be Wed. 1800GMT.
  • Josh (as mentioned above) was worrying about annotations. There's the ever-lingering "invalid" annotations in OME2 which show what was annotated when. Since the annotations themselves are mutable in Omero3: do we need this history process? Harry says that it's an interesting research topic, but basically no one knows how to do it well. Further, Josh added, since a simple invalid flag wouldn't suffice since a user can now have multiple annotations, we'd need an even more complicated history process. Chris, Donald, and Curtis are going to discuss in regards to glyphs, and we'll get back to it later.
  • Josh also reported on the various bugs that came up when switching to Hibernate 3.1 (Chris will probably complain about the same thing this week. But in general the update api should be ready for use (with some caveats)
  • Afterwards, Chris and Jean-Marie told Josh that "needy user" Jason wants to have the counts for various container relationships on every call. They're still pondering this.
