Notes

  • Last week's notes and issues:
    • Jean-Marie & Donald still working on Documentation for Schoola (with Jason)
    • Talk about the Omero 2 & 3 ontology integration still scheduled for early March
    • Do we have a document standard? (The pdf doc-gen documentation from Jean-Marie that is currently in the Tiki for Schoola seems like a good standard).
      • Tiki vs. DocBook/DocGen (XML) documentation — Which ones are going to go where?
      • Tiki is for in progress documentation. "Real" documentation will need to be generated outside tiki so it can be shipped with the end product.
      • For now, Tiki will remain our main documentation tool.

  • Boston
    • Tony has the GUI for everything he needs, just needs to hook it up to OME
    • Sheldon has finished setting up the communcation code for the OME-Client tool they are using
    • Boston's work is based on a snapshot of OME, when they are ready (approx. March 1), will need to talk to Chris to get it reintigrated into the CVS.

  • Dundee
    • Josh would like some clarification about where the group and experimenter related joins for against other database types
      • This will probably require a review of the client operation from Jason
      • Jean-Marie's comment is that an admin function/tool (agent) should be set up for handling more complicated group-leader-experimenter relationships.
    • POJO query-bug: this needs to be addressed soon for the March 1 demo release date.
      • With the current time-frame testing should start soon.
    • Write API is almost done (sans security model at the moment)
    • Chris and endianness 99% done for rebirth
    • Does Jason want the multi-window available for the demo date?
      • Not required but would be nice.
    • Installer not required for demo date.

  • Upcoming Week
    • Donald is working on RIO integration
    • Barry is going to work on some of the functionality with the hierarchy browser
      • also spending time with our users to set up use cases
      • initially will be concentrate on improving workflow

Action Items

  • Josh needs Jean-Marie's API wish-list.
  • Jason and Jean-Marie having a meeting in the next day or so to prioritize what is needed for the demo.
  • We need to make/update a "how to set up an instance of the new OME server" for the demo release date. We will be doing a number of "bare-metal" installs on various systems and documenting them before the demo date.
